A beautiful morning here in Florida after stormy weather last night. Much lightning. Contacting our family and friends in other parts of the country affected by unusually heavy snows, power outages and cold temperatures. Sending our warmest best wishes.

The fourth section of this week's Bible Lesson includes the account of a woman struggling with a health issue. It had been going on for 12 years. She had spent all her money and tried everything available to stop this issue of blood to no avail. Then she heard about Jesus and the healings happening. She believed he had the power to do what no one else had been able to do. But she was breaking Jewish law by mixing in the crowd while she was ceremoniously unclean. That would come with a severe penalty if anyone found out. So she got up close to him from behind, trusting that if she could just touch his clothing she would be healed. And she did and she was. Immediately! But before she could disappear into the multitude, Jesus turned around and asked who had touched him, knowing that it had resulted in a healing. She came to him, trembling with fear, but he assured her that she was made whole and could go in peace. The problem was healed and would not return. It was important for her to know that and to understand that it was her faith that brought that healing about. Should she ever need healing later and Jesus not be around, she could still trust God.

It is God, divine Love, that does the healing. It is Mind that knows us only as He created us, whole and perfect, made in His own image and likeness. It is Life that can never be ended by disease. God is good and good is all that is present and going on. Truth removes the error, as it did for this woman, and it can and will do for all of God's children. We can all 'go in peace'.

 FEBRUARY 11, 2021 One last thing for daily duties, this one also found in our Manual. A RULE FOR MOTIVES AND ACTS Neither animosity nor mere personal attachment should impel the motives and acts of the members of The Mother Church. In Science, divine Love alone governs man, and a Christian Scientist reflects the sweet amenities of Love, in rebuking sin, in true brotherliness, charitableness, and forgiveness. The members of this Church should daily watch and pray to be delivered from all evil, From prophesying, judging, condemning, counseling, influencing or being influenced erroneously. (p.40) One could spend all day working with this. animosity is defines as active hatred, something to be avoided. Personal attachment can sometimes cloud one's judgement as well. recognize your true inheritance

 Just having the best morning working with our Christian Science Bible Lesson on substance and today noticing the references to true inheritance. There is the story of Daniel and his 3 friends as captives in Babylon. The King wanted all the brightest children to have special priviledges for a span of 3 years and then, if they proved worthy, to serve him. Part of that was to eat the meat reserved for the king and to drink some of his wine. Daniel felt those things were tainted and unclean as they were part of the sacrifices to their god. He asked that he and his friends be just served porridge and given water to drink. The eunuch fears they will look malnourished and he would be punished but agrees to a 10 day trial. They pass with flying colors. Daniel knew his rights as a child of the one true God and served Him faithfully. That protected him.
