This morning I am feeling grateful for the periodicals Mrs. Eddy has given us. 

When I first began studying Christian Science I was reading Science and Health but it was all new to me and her vast vocabulary and spiritual terms difficult to understand. What I found easier to comprehend were the daily religious articles in the Christian Science Monitor. I looked forward each day to reading them and thinking about how they could help me with my growing understanding of God as Love and how to pray.

The Christian Science Sentinel, which came out weekly, was my next step. I loved the poems and children's articles. If those dear little ones could experience healing, surely it would be there for me as well and I began to have healings myself. Another blessing with the Sentinel is the Bible Lens, described as shining a light on the Bible Lesson with insights for some of the citations. I was so grateful to be getting this weekly Lesson and learning so much about the Bible. Mrs. Eddy's writings made some of the confusing things in the Bible much clearer.

The Christian Science Journal was a step up as the articles were deeper and required more careful reading on my part. I was moving from the gentle repast of 'milk' to the stronger nourishment of the 'meat'.

These periodicals have become daily companions as I continue by journey Godward and cherish my spiritual growth. Christian Science is so practical and I can put what I am learning into practice for myself and others who might call me for support in prayer and healing through Christian Science.

 march 5, 2021 sorry about missing some entries. Hopefully, things will go better now. Today I am remembering visiting a fun house and alternately being amused and horrified by the images in the distorted mirrors.  While some were actually funny, others were definitely not how I how wanted to see myself or be seen by others.  FEBRUARY 11, 2021 One last thing for daily duties, this one also found in our Manual. A RULE FOR MOTIVES AND ACTS Neither animosity nor mere personal attachment should impel the motives and acts of the members of The Mother Church. In Science, divine Love alone governs man, and a Christian Scientist reflects the sweet amenities of Love, in rebuking sin, in true brotherliness, charitableness, and forgiveness. The members of this Church should daily watch and pray to be delivered from all evil, From prophesying, judging, condemning, counseling, influencing or being influenced erroneously. recognize your true inheritance

 Just having the best morning working with our Christian Science Bible Lesson on substance and today noticing the references to true inheritance. There is the story of Daniel and his 3 friends as captives in Babylon. The King wanted all the brightest children to have special priviledges for a span of 3 years and then, if they proved worthy, to serve him. Part of that was to eat the meat reserved for the king and to drink some of his wine. Daniel felt those things were tainted and unclean as they were part of the sacrifices to their god. He asked that he and his friends be just served porridge and given water to drink. The eunuch fears they will look malnourished and he would be punished but agrees to a 10 day trial. They pass with flying colors. Daniel knew his rights as a child of the one true God and served Him faithfully. That protected him.
