Hello to you all. I had a blog for several years where I shared healings through prayerful treatment and inspiration gained from the study of the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy.

Life continues to be the 'unfolding of the petals of His holy purpose. After many years in Texas our family has now relocated to South Florida. If you are getting acquainted with me, I will share that I listed my  name as a full,-time practitioner in 2002, have been an active member of my branch church (just finished 3 years as First Reader, had a few dozen articles printed in the Christian Science Sentinel, and given 7 Association addresses.

We are settling in to our new apartment and I have been able to set up my office with a lovely view from our 7th floor. There is a very nice branch church here and I look forward to attending the Wednesday evening testimony meeting tonight.

This week's Bible Lesson on God as Spirit has lots to say about God's gifts. He is so good and I rejoice each day in His wonderous works. I have been so blessed! This week we read about how Joseph was able to save so many people from a coming famine. He interpreted Pharaoh's dreams throuigh the gift of wisdom from God. Jesus was always aware and grateful for God's gifts. He was approached by a Roman Centurion, part of the army occupying his country. The man asked for Jesus' help to heal his servant who was 'grievously tormented' with palsy. It says much about him that he cared so deeply for a servant and that his faith in Jesus was so strong. Jesus tells him to go his way and the servant was healed in the same hour. Jesus did not even need to be present for the healing to take place. I see that in the work I do as many of my patients are contacting me by phone or emails. The healings take place without my needing to be there because it is God who does the healing.

One of my favorite passages in Science and Health describes how God is at work in our life. 

"Spirit, God, gathers unformed thoughts into their proper channels, and unfolds these thoughts even as He opens the petals of a holy purpose in order that the purpose may appear." (S&H p.506)

May you see those petals opening up for you as God continues to show you His holy purpose for you.

 march 5, 2021 sorry about missing some entries. Hopefully, things will go better now. Today I am remembering visiting a fun house and alternately being amused and horrified by the images in the distorted mirrors.  While some were actually funny, others were definitely not how I how wanted to see myself or be seen by others.  FEBRUARY 11, 2021 One last thing for daily duties, this one also found in our Manual. A RULE FOR MOTIVES AND ACTS Neither animosity nor mere personal attachment should impel the motives and acts of the members of The Mother Church. In Science, divine Love alone governs man, and a Christian Scientist reflects the sweet amenities of Love, in rebuking sin, in true brotherliness, charitableness, and forgiveness. The members of this Church should daily watch and pray to be delivered from all evil, From prophesying, judging, condemning, counseling, influencing or being influenced erroneously. (p.40) One could spend all day working with this. animosity is defines as active hatred, something to be avoided. Personal attachment can sometimes cloud one's judgement as well. recognize your true inheritance

 Just having the best morning working with our Christian Science Bible Lesson on substance and today noticing the references to true inheritance. There is the story of Daniel and his 3 friends as captives in Babylon. The King wanted all the brightest children to have special priviledges for a span of 3 years and then, if they proved worthy, to serve him. Part of that was to eat the meat reserved for the king and to drink some of his wine. Daniel felt those things were tainted and unclean as they were part of the sacrifices to their god. He asked that he and his friends be just served porridge and given water to drink. The eunuch fears they will look malnourished and he would be punished but agrees to a 10 day trial. They pass with flying colors. Daniel knew his rights as a child of the one true God and served Him faithfully. That protected him.
